Recognition of Prior Learning Principles – TED University Faculty of Engineering

TED University Faculty of Engineering, Principles for the Recognition of Prior Learning

Course credit transfer is carried out by the departments based on the course’s priority in the curriculum.

Provided that the course fulfills the relevant program learning outcomes, credits may be transferred upon document evaluation if the course was taken at an institution offering formal education in English. TED University’s credit system is taken as the basis for credit transfer. Credit transfer is only applicable for courses in which the student has earned a minimum grade equivalent to 2.00/4.00.

For courses to be credited via document evaluation, the following documents must be provided: course syllabi (including week-by-week content and learning outcomes), catalog descriptions, and official transcripts showing the grade earned for the course.

For the compulsory Higher Education Council (YÖK) courses such as Atatürk’s Principles and History of the Turkish Revolution and Turkish Language, instruction in English is not required.

Based on the total number of transferred credits, adjustments may be made to maximum scholarship durations and periods of student status, in accordance with relevant TED University Senate decisions and applicable regulations/guidelines.

In the evaluation of transfer applications, the relevant “YÖK Framework Regulation”, “TED University Senate Principles on Transfer Students”, and the “TED University Undergraduate Transfer Guidelines” are taken as the basis.
